Hit maker Burhan G oozes musical energy on his new single. Next spring, he takes the audience on an adventurous journey when he seduces the audience in the Concert Hall of Musikkens Hus (House of Music).
The feel-good track “Lucy” is the first single from Burhan G’s fifth album, which is released this autumn, and “Lucy” is already getting lots of radio airplay in Denmark.
Burhan has worked on his new album for two years and thus following up on the 2013 album “Din For Evigt” (Forever yours) which entered the Danish album chart directly at No. 1 and stayed on the chart for more than a year! The new album contains fewer slow songs and a much larger dose of Burhan the troublemaker, who generously dispenses musical goodies.
”Lucy is the first of a number of songs I have written for the new album about girls who have crossed my path. These are songs about people who have fascinated me, women who took me to heaven or to the very brink of life. My lyrics inspired me to risk something again and gave me the urge to practically re-invent myself and my sound. I have never been this excited about a release before. It is extremely nerve-wrecking but it also feels really good!” – Burhan G
When Burhan G performs live in our Concert Hall, the concert is called “Showtime”. He has handpicked the musicians from all over the world and together they will create his touring show.
Look forward to a lovely evening in the company of one of Denmark's greatest singers when Burhan G raises the roof of Musikkens Hus.
Burhan G grew up in Brøndby Strand like his musical peers Outlandish. In third grade, he started as solo soprano in the Copenhagen Royal Chapel Choir at Sankt Annæ Gymnasium. At the age of 16, he went on tour with Outlandish as backing singer and subsequently he provided the refrain for the band's decisive hit “Walou” in 2000.
Burhan featured on tracks by various artists, and in 2004 he released his first album “Playground”, which was entirely in English just like the second album “Breakout”. He had his breakthrough with his self-titled 2010 album of pop songs in Danish, and the charming troublemaker has melted girls' hearts and been at the top of the charts ever since.
